Covid19 deaths up to 51

An elderly male with co-morbidities died of covid19 on Saturday, after a record of seven on Friday, bringing TT’s number to 51.

In addition, 168 more people tested positive for covid19, 101 more than Saturday morning, bringing the total number of positive cases to 2,993. The results were from samples taken during the period September 2 to 12.

The Health Ministry's 6 pm update said the number of samples submitted to the public and private sites was 26,634, and the number of active cases is 2,176.

Four people were discharged on Friday night into Saturday morning, bringing that number up to 766.
