Teen among 14 arrested in police dragnet

Officers of the Northern Division seized a Sig Sauer pistol and 13 rounds of ammunition from a 19-year-old boy from Tunapuna on Thursday.

The teen was found with the gun and ammunition during an anti-crime exercise between 4 am and 8 am within the El Dorado and Tunapuna areas.

Police also arrested 14 people living in El Dorado and Bamboo Trace, Tunapuna. Among the 14 is a La Horquetta man wanted for possession of drugs and firearm-related offences. Ten others were held for gang activity.
