Signal Hill man appears in court for larceny

A 43-year-old Signal Hill labourer has been charged with larceny of $11,000 and common assault.

On Wednesday, Marvin Noray appeared before the Scarborough Magistrate Virtual Court to answer the two charges.

The court heard that the victim went to the compound where Noray resides to conduct a transaction. Noray allegedly snatched $11,000 from the victim, pointed a gun in his direction and chased him away.

Noray, who was charged 22 times previously, was remanded into custody and will reappear in court on October 6.
