Oropune man shoots neighbour in head with pellet gun

A 61-year-old Oropune man was arrested after he shot his neighbour with a pellet gun on Monday.

Police told Newsday the 35-year-old victim was on the premises of the suspect around 2.30 pm, at Second Avenue, Oropune Boulevard, when he was shot once in the head, after an argument.

Newsday understands the men had previously several disputes over trespassing on the land.

The suspect was arrested and the pellet gun seized.

The victim lost a lot of blood but is in a stable condition at the Arima General Hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
