Police seize gun, arrest Diego man

A Bagatelle Road, Diego Martin man was arrested and a pistol seized on Sunday.

Police said on an exercise between 1.30 pm and 9 pm, they went to an abandoned house off Dillon Street, Diego Martin. When they got there, they saw several men scattering in different directions.

They caught one of the men and seized a Tangfolio pistol loaded with 13 founds of 9 mm ammunition, and a Stihl weedwhacker.

The man was detained, pending enquiries into firearm-related offences.

The exercise was undertaken by Sen Supt Thompson and co-ordinated by Insp Grant and acting Sgt Carmona.
