Budget Day is October 5

BUDGET Day will be October 5.

A statement from Finance Minister Colm Imbert on Monday said the 2021 national budget will be presented in the House of Representatives on Monday, October 5.

The statement also said the ministry was in the process of asking business organisations, trade unions and other interest groups for recommendations on the fiscal measures and initiatives they would like to see in the 2021 budget, in the context of TT’s restricted financial circumstances because of the covid19 pandemic.

“All recommendations will be given careful consideration,” the statement said, adding that the ministry will host a virtual “spotlight on the budget and economy” on September 28, to be streamed from the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Port of Spain.
