13 active covid19 cases in Tobago

The THA Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development on Monday afternoon reported one new case of covid19 in Tobago.

The total number of active cases in Tobago now stands at 13.

According to the division, contract tracing has begun with regard to the new covid19 case.

To date, 30 covid19 patients have been discharged, including 12 last Sunday, and one patient has died.

The division said the patients discharged "have met the clinical criteria for discharge and will not be required to further isolate at home."

It said overall 865 samples have been submitted to the Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) and other local sites for testing, with 43 testing positive.

There are currently no patients at the covid19 treatment facility, 11 at the step-down facility and two en route to the treatment facility.
