Cabinet to decide on Children's Authority board
Cabinet is to make a decision on the appointment of a new Children's Authority board, according to minister in the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibility for gender and child affairs Ayanna Webster-Roy.
The seven-member board, previously chaired by clinical traumatologist Hanif Benjamin, was appointed on August 25, 2017 and the three-year term recently ended, according to an August 27 release.
When contacted on Friday, Webster-Roy said Cabinet will select a new board. She did not say when this would be done.
One of the previous board's last duties was the hiring of Nichola Harvey-Mitchell as the director of the authority in March.
