THE MEDIA will have to wait longer to question the Prime Minister and members of his new Cabinet, as there was no post-Cabinet media briefing on Thursday.

The announcement to this effect was posted on the Facebook pages of Dr Rowley and the Office of the Prime Minister at about 1.20 pm.

On Rowley's post the majority of comments expressed thanks for the announcement and advised him to be safe.

"Thank you PM. We know the reasoning behind this is vital, 'cause we trust your decision makings/(initiatives)."

One commenter, however, told the Prime Minister not to make it a habit.

"We the citizens need to be in the know of how our (government) is carrying out our business through those post-Cabinet briefings."

There has not been a post-Cabinet media briefing since the new administration was sworn in on August 19.

Rowley last addressed the media on Saturday, during a media conference at the Diplomatic Centre, St Ann's. On August 26 he met with representatives from the Community Recovery Programme Team at the Diplomatic Centre.

On August 21 Rowley announced he had been exposed to someone who later tested positive for covid19. He reported he had been tested and the results were negative. He said out of an abundance of caution he had been advised to remain in quarantine at home until August 24.
