One new covid19 case in Tobago

The THA Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development on Wednesday morning reported one new case of covid19 in Tobago. Additionally, nine people have been discharged since the last update on Sunday.

According to the division, established protocols have since been implemented with regard to the new covid19 case, inclusive of contact tracing, which is ongoing.

The division said the patients discharged "have met the clinical criteria for discharge and they will not be required to further isolate at home."

The total number of active cases in Tobago is 24. Eighteen people have been discharged while the number of deaths remains at one.

It said overall 818 samples have been submitted to the Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) and other local sites for testing with 42 testing positive.

There are currently seven patients at the covid19 treatment facility, ten at the step-down facility and six en route to the treatment facility.
