One more patient dies, 42 more test positive for covid19

THE Ministry of Health on Wednesday morning reported the death of an elderly male with co-morbidities, bringing the total number of covid19-related deaths to 28. Another 42 patients tested positive for covid19 since the last update on Tuesday.

The total number of active cases is 1,120, with the addition of 42 positive cases between Tuesday and Wednesday. There have been 1,839 positive cases diagnosed since March, of whom 691 have been discharged.

The number of samples submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), the UWI and other local sites for testing for covid19 was 23,934. The number of unique patient tests completed was 21,012, and 2,922 were repeated.
