Right place?

THE EDITOR: Reginald Dumas in his support for the removal of the statue of Columbus described him as a “torturer, an enthusiastic practitioner of genocide.” He cites Evans Jones: “It was Columbus who started the rot…they Roman Catholicised at the point of the sword.” The church therefore was the driving force behind the genocide of the heathens.

Since there is a symbiotic relationship between Columbus and the church, would it not be more appropriate to put the statue in the graveyard of the church that is next to him?
