Man shot in D'Abadie

A MAN has been shot and wounded at the corner of Mahabir Lane and the Eastern Main Road in D'Abadie. Police said that at 10.45 pm on Wednesday, two masked gunmen approached and shot him several times before escaping.

Members of the Northern Division's emergency response patrol went to the scene and found the 31-year-old man bleeding. He was taken to hospital, where he was treated and remains warded in a critical condition.

Police found 11 spent shells and two live rounds.

The police have not arrested anyone in connection with the shooting and investigations are continuing.
