MoH reports no new covid19 cases

NO new samples have been submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (Carpha) to test for covid19 overnight, the Ministry of Health reported on Monday.

All figures remain unchanged from Sunday with the total number of samples submitted for testing remaining at 4,313. Six people remain at the Caura Hospital with covid19.

The number of samples tested positive remains at 123 and the number of people discharged from step down facilities at 109. Eight people have died from the virus, a figure which has not changed since April.

With no apparent community spread of the virus in TT, the government has moved to further ease restrictions, with bars and restaurants opening to dining customers, while social distancing rules still apply.
