The Tobago House of Assembly will transition to an e-government system over the next five years.

Secretary of Finance and the Economy Joel Jack, during his budget presentation on Monday morning, said this will be done on a phased basis.

He said, "the assembly IT manager and key stakeholders that comprise the ITC committee will manage the transition from analogue to e-government and ultimately, digital government over the next five years."

The platform will include updates, legal framework and a secure public data structure.
