Teachers holding students to ransom

THE EDITOR: So you never asked for “sweeteners.” You are a union. Pay for work done in vacation time has already been negotiated. Where’s the insult?

Students without means to study online are at a disadvantage? Yes, but can you think of a way to bring this group to a satisfactory standard during the proposed five hour per day, 23-day July period?

Should the exam be moved to October, won’t you be giving further advantage to students who worked online over the remnants of term three?

While attempting to teach the syllabus, have you given any attention to guiding students to national duty, pride, sacrifice?

I think all who’ve gone through our education system have been disadvantaged if we were taught by even one of the teachers holding our students and the Ministry to ransom.
