THE man who was threatened with a lawsuit by CEO of the North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA), Davlin Thomas, has apologized for his social media comments.

In a media release on Friday, the NCRHA said Naresh Siewah had personally apologized to Thomas for “for misleading, defamatory and untrue allegations which were posted online.”

Alleged defamatory comments centred on the rental of two tents, after a document purporting to be a quotation from a company, asked the NCRHA to pay close to $500,000 for a month. The NCRHA said the actual cost of the rental was $97,875.

On Wednesday, Thomas in a media release said his attorneys were handling the issue adding that he had “grave concern” about the irresponsible postings of Siewah. Thomas said then that he was resolute in seeking redress “through a robust justice system.” On Friday, the NCRHA said Siewah apologised personally to Thomas, however, Thomas is not yet satisfied with restitutions made by Siewah. He added that there are damages caused by Siewah not only to himself but to the reputation of the NCRHA brand.

The release noted: “Siewah’s public apology will be released following discussions with Mr Thomas’ attorneys. Siewah also agreed to and has removed all of the misleading and defamatory allegations, as well as, the immature rants posted online which were unfounded and untrue.”

Siewah in his apology told Thomas that he regretted “all his mistakes” and promised, “it will never happen again.” He asked Thomas, to forgive him for his wrongdoings and further apologized for “any discomfort caused by his immature nature.”
