Cops thwart kidnapping: PC among 3 held

A police constable assigned to the Guard and Emergency Branch is among three people held for kidnapping in Mon Repos on Thursday night.

Police said they received a report that a man was beaten by men in police uniform and put into a black SUV at Coconut Boulevard, Pleasantville, San Fernando at around 11.21 pm.

Officers of the South Western Division Task Force and the Southern Emergency Response Patrol intercepted an SUV matching the description of the getaway car on Puck Road, Woodland.

The three men were arrested and the 26-year-old victim was taken for medical attention.
One pistol was found in the car.
