SEA on August 20

Education Minister Anthony Garcia said the secondary entrance examination (SEA) will be held on August 20, 2020. He said this decision was taken after consultation with various stakeholders.

He said students sitting the exams will be returning to school on July 20, along with their teachers and principals. He said school hours would run from 8:30 am to 3 pm, as is usual.
Garcia said teachers who were teaching the students taking the examination will be paid a stipend, as they would normally be on vacation.

Principals would be paid $900 per day, vice-principals who were teaching would be paid $650 per day, heads of department $550, senior teachers $600, teacher I $500, and assistant teachers $400 per day.
