FINANCIAL compensation will be disbursed on Friday to 29 property owners affected by the construction of a new airport terminal and associated works at the ANR Robinson International Airport in Crown Point.

In a press release on Wednesday, the Ministry of Finance said $41 million will be paid in the first wave of compensation, which represents 5.33 acres of the 53 acres needed for the expansion project.

“The sum will be utilised to compensate property owners who have completed the land acquisition process by way of negotiation and settlement with the State,” the ministry said.

The payments will be made by the National Infrastructure Development Company Limited (Nidco) on behalf of the State.
