Two men appeared before the Scarborough magistrate virtual court on Wednesday charged with sex offences against minors.

Junior Davis, 44, of Church Gully, Delaford was charged for sexually touching a 15-year-old child.

The incident is said to have occurred on January 16, 2020.

Davis, a tree cutter, was not called upon to plea as the charge was laid indictably. He was placed on $80,000 bail or a cash alternative of $4,000. He has been ordered not to communicate with the victim and to report to the Roxborough Police Station every Friday. Davis will reappear in court on June 12.

Also, 19-year-old Tyrese Polson appeared in court for two counts of sexual penetration and one count of sexual touching of a 15-year-old child.

Polson, a farmer of Richmond, was not called upon to plea as the charge was laid indictably. He was granted $100,000 bail or a cash alternative of $5,000. As a bail condition, Polson must refrain from communicating with the victim and report to the Roxborough Police Station once per month.

He will reappear in court on July 7.
