6 Carnival booths burn down

FIRE and emergency services were at the Queen’s Park Savannah where six Carnival booths were destroyed by fire.

Fire officers told Newsday they got a report of the fire at about 12.45 pm, and Belmont and Wrightson Road fire officers responded.

They managed to douse the fire within minutes. There was no report of injury. Fire prevention officers are investigating to determine the cause.
