Tobago man, 60, on sex charges against minor

A 60-year-old joiner has been charged with six sex offences. Hayden Rudd of Parrot Hall, Parlatuvier appeared before magistrate Indrani Cedeno at the Scarborough magistrates virtual court on Monday to answer the charge of three counts of grievous sexual assault and three counts of sexual intercourse with a female under the age of 14. The offences are said to have took place between 2007 and 2010.

The court heard that the victim made a report to the Child Protection Unit.

Rudd was not called upon to plead, as the charge was laid indictably. He was granted bail of $400,000 or a cash alternative of $20,000. He will reappear in court on July 6.
