Ansa Merchant Bank has made a bulk delivery of hand sanitizers for workers in the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries who provided continuous service during the covid19 lockdown.

The ministry's permanent secretary Penelope Bradshaw Niles, during a handover ceremony, said petroleum inspectors provide an essential service in the sector and the hand sanitizers will support their necessary interaction with energy stakeholders.

Ansa Merchant managing director Gregory N Hill, said the bank was pleased to provide a measure of hygienic protection to the ministry, and indeed all citizens, whose jobs entail public interaction.

“We remain committed to supporting the health and safety of all citizens during this uncertain time of the pandemic as part of our corporate social responsibility, in addition to providing unique solutions to all our clients and stakeholders to alleviate the financial fall-out of the pandemic,” said Hill.

The hand sanitizer is manufactured by Carib Brewery and has been distributed by the Ansa McAl Group during the pandemic period.

The ministry's deputy PS Sandra Fraser, director of the petroleum management operation division Marc Rudder and Ansa Merchant's head of business development Edmund Joachim were also at the ceremony.
