Trinidad and Tobago on bad weather alert

The country is under an adverse weather alert at yellow level.

A release from the Met Office said there is a 70 per cent chance of heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms associated with the passage of a tropical wave.

This activity is expected to peak during the early morning on Friday.

Street flooding is likely in heavy downpours and gusty winds in excess of 60 km/hr may accompany showers and thunderstorms.
