Chief Sec names Tobago post-covid19 recovery team

Chief Secretary Ancil Dennis has announced a 17-man team to chart Tobago's economic development post-covid19. Speaking on Wednesday at the post executive council news conference at Scarborough Library, Dennis said the team comprises "young, vibrant, bright, knowledgeable and committed" Tobagonians.

He said the group, which is expected to present its report within the six months, has also been divided into seven categories, including finance, food production, governance and production, tourism, sustainability and innovation, social development and creative industry.

The team comprises chief economist, Division of Finance and the Economy, Selvon Hazel; policy analyst Nafessa George; entrepreneur Shirley Cooke; marketing co-ordinator Korice Nancis; Tobago Agricultural Society president Dedan Daniel; Newsday Tobago columnist Dr Crystal Benjamin; psychologist Dr Alina Williams; farmer Ricardo Alfred; Dr Ryan Allard, musician Khalen Jamoi Alexander; educator Dr Verleen Bobb-Lewis; former TRHA CEO Godwin Richardson; Dr Stephen Sheppard; renewable energy expert Melanie Trim; chief technical officer TSTT, Hassel Bacchus; cultural activist John Arnold and agronomist Pathlene Titus.
