A Tobago man and his son were among three people arrested Sunday afternoon after a search was carried out at an apartment in Courland Bush Trace, Black Rock.
The father and son were charged for possession of a 9mm pistol and six rounds of 9mm ammunition. During the search police also seized over 900 grammes of marijuana.
The men are expected to appear before the Scarborough magistrates court on June 1 charged with possession of an illegal firearm and possession of over 30 grammes of marijuana. Shirvan police are continuing investigations.
Another man from Chaguanas was also arrested with approximately $44,000 in the same apartment building. He is being questioned by members of the Financial Investigations Branch.
