Still 117 covid19 cases

THE Ministry of Health's 10 am update on Monday said the number of confirmed covid19 cases in Trinidad and Tobago remains at 117.

No new samples were sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) or the University of the West Indies (UWI) for testing overnight. The number of samples sent to CARPHA, to date, is 3,155. Of those, 2,715 unique patient tests have been completed with 440 repeat tests being done.

The most recent positive test result was reported on Saturday.

One patient is currently in the State's care at the Home of Football in Couva.

The total number of recovered patients is still 108.

The number of deaths owing to the virus remained unchanged at eight with the last such death being reported on April 6.
