Aranguez man charged with murder

AN Aranguez man was charged with the murder of a 39-year-old tradesman and was expected to appear before a Port of Spain magistrate on Monday.

According to a police media release on Monday, Shaquille Mungroo, 19, was charged on Friday for the murder of Selwyn Joseph, at John Dulam Street in Aranguez, on May 23.

Police said that during a heated argument, Joseph was stabbed in his back and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex in Mt Hope. Investigations were conducted and Mungroo was subsequently arrested and charged.
