Cudjoe, Webster-Roy back for PNM

TOBAGO West MP Shamfa Cudjoe and Tobago East MP Ayanna Webster-Roy were both re-selected as PNM candidates for the upcoming general elections. PNM PRO Laurel Lezama told Newsday of this outcome of the PNM screening committee, chaired by the Prime Minister, in Tobago earlier on Sunday.

West was the only person nominated for screening for Tobago West. Webster-Roy faced competition from veterinarian Dr Kern Johnson but got the nod.

The PNM will face the Progressive Democratic Patriots, led by Watson Duke, for the two Tobago seats. The PDP has selected Tashia Grace Burris to fight the Tobago West seat while Duke will face the electorate for Tobago East.
