Twenty people who were caught liming at No Man's Land on Monday are expected to appear before a Scarborough magistrate court on Tuesday for gathering in contravention of the covid19 restrictions.

According to the Public Health Ordinance, gatherings over five people are prohibited and beaches remain closed.

TTPS media ambassador Alicia Piggott told Newsday that the group of 20 included 16 adults and four children, ages 14 to 16.

Piggott said officers attached to the Crown Point Police Station received information of the gathering and with the assistance of officers of the Shirvan Road and Scarborough Police Stations along with the Emergency Response Patrol, went to No Man’s Land and caught the group grilling fish, cooking other meats, bathing and liming at the pristine location. There were also coolers filled with drinks.

Officers informed the group of the offences committed and arrested everyone. The group was charged by Acting Cpl Thomas.
