Four held for pistol, ammo, marijuana in Marabella

An anti-crime exercise in the Southern Division led to the arrest of four men and the seizure of a gun and marijuana on Tuesday.

According to a police media release on Wednesday, officers of the Marabella CID, Southern Division Task Force and the police Canine Unit led by Snr Supt Wayne Mohammed and Sgt Ifill arrested four people, including two brothers for the possession of 400 grams of marijuana and an outstanding warrant.

Later that day police also found a kilogram of marijuana and a Glock 23 pistol and seven rounds of ammunition in Bayshore Road, Marabella.
