Last covid19 patient sent home

The last covid19 patient at hospital has been discharged, the Ministry of Health said in its 10pm update on Thursday.

The individual had been warded at the Caura Hospital.

There are now no patients receiving treatment for covid19 in the public health system, the ministry said.

In all, 108 patients have been discharged and eight have died since the first reported case of covid19 in the country on March 12.

The total number of samples that have been submitted for testing to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and the UWI site is 2,805.
