Assemblyman Sheldon Cunningham was summoned to a meeting with PNM Tobago Council leader Tracy Davidson-Celestine after claiming a PNM official was distributing food cards illegally

Cunningham is the assistant secretary in the Division of Infrastructure, Quarries and the Environment.

He made the claims during an interview on Tobago Channel 5 on Monday morning.

"Please let us do this right. You can't be giving out cards to people without documentation," he said.

He said declaration forms had not been signed and the issue had been reported to the chief secretary.

"I hope this is dealt with quickly because we don't want this to be a thorn in thistle later on. We are doing this to help people and not for mileage."
