Murder victim found on fire in Cunupia

What passers-by initially believed to be an early morning bush fire turned out to be the burning body of a man on the side of the road in Cunupia on Sunday.

Police are yet to identify the victim found lying on his back at Mt Plasir Road in some bushes at dawn.

He was wearing slippers and his clothes were burnt. Police said there were injuries and blood on his face and head.

Police from Central Division and the Homicide Bureau Region III visited the scene.
