Rotary Club of Maraval, TKR donate 100 hampers

THE ROTARY Club of Maraval distributed 100 hampers, loaded with foot and household supplies, with the assistance of the Caribbean Premier League's Trinbago Knight Riders in association with Hadco Ltd at Normandie Hotel in St. Ann's, on Saturday.

Eight organisations, which are normally supported by the Rotary Club of Maraval beneffited, including the Women's Prison and in-need families identified by administrators of the Boissiere RC Primary, La Sieva RC Primary, Maraval RC Primary, Paramin RC Primary and Rampanalgas RC Primary, as well as Rainbow Rescue Orphanage for Boys and St Andrew's Home for the Aged.

"These hampers represented only a small part of the immense charitable donations being poured out all over TT by the TKR cricket team," the club said in a media release.

"[The Rotary] Club of Maraval was very thankful for the opportunity to share this essential gift with families and organisations in need."

"Through this opportunity, the Rotary Club of Maraval was also able to pay it forward to the Rotaract Club of Maraval which represents the youth form of membership in the Rotary organisation and who will in turn donate these hampers to in-need families in several areas of the country."

The Rotary Club of Princes Town will make a distribution in south area on Monday.
