Five men held for sexual offences against minors

Five men are expected to appear before a Chaguanas Magistrate on Monday for the offences of sexual assault on four minors.

The men, ages 24 to 70, were arrested on Friday by officers assigned to the Central Division's Child Protection Unit (CPU) during an anti-crime exercise in central Trinidad.

Police said a total of 63 charges, including sexual touching and sexual penetration, were laid against the men.

The minors ages seven to 11, included three girls and one boy.

The investigation was conducted by Supt Natasha George of the CPU and was assisted by police of the Central Division’s Operations Unit.
