FORMER tourism secretary Nadine Stewart-Phillips does not see her reassignment to Assistant Secretary in the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development as a demotion.

Stewart-Phillips lost control of the Division of Tourism, Culture and Transportation in the new Ancil Dennis-led Executive Council, which was sworn in on Thursday at President’s House, St Ann’s.

Stewart-Phillips, who held the tourism portfolio since 2017, said on Friday, “Leadership is not about portfolio or position but influence and impact.”

New PNM Tobago Council political leader Tracy Davidson-Celestine heads the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development. Chief Secretary Ancil Dennis is the new tourism secretary.
