Follow CXC plan, Mr Minister

THE EDITOR: I am a confused CSEC student. CXC recently announced that students would be assessed in June/July on Paper 1, SBAs and Paper 3. I started focusing on Paper 1.

After almost a month of preparation, I am depressed. I have now learnt that the Minister of Education wants students to be examined in Paper 2 as well.

I feel I am unable to write my examinations now as I have only prepared for Paper 1 and to be told I have to do Paper 2 is just disheartening.

The minister wants Paper 2 included yet he is satisfied for examinations to be held in June/July. Realistically, students will need more time to prepare if Paper 2 is included in the examinations.

I cannot understand his reasoning. Please, Minister of Education, kindly allow CXC to proceed with their plans. I have confidence in them.
