The Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) on Tuesday celebrated International Nurses Day with a prayer session, which was conducted by Rev Rebecca Roberts of the Maranatha Christian Assembly. Nurses throughout the TRHA from both primary and secondary care were in attendance.

Speaking at the function were Acting Medical Chief of Staff Dr Victor Wheeler, Secondary Care Nursing Manager Michelle Edwards-Benjamin and executive secretary of Commonwealth Nurses and Midwifery Federation Jill Iliffe.

The nurses observed a moment of silence for all nurses who passed away in the past two years and those who passed worldwide as a result of the covid19.

Health Secretary Tracy Davidson-Celestine thanked the nurses for their commitment and duty.
