13 more samples sent to CARPHA for testing

Thirteen more samples were sent to Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and UWI for testing for covid19 between Wednesday night and 10 am on Thursday.

The Ministry of Health’s latest update, at 10 am on Thursday, said the number of samples submitted stood at 2,511.

There was no change in the number of confirmed cases which remains at 116. The number of deaths also remained unchanged at eight. The last death was recorded on April 6. So far, 107 patients have been discharged while one person remains in stable condition at Caura hospital.

The update said the number of unique patient tests completed is 2,100 and the number of repeated tests is 411.
