Tobago receives 4 ventilators from China

The Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) has received four of the ten ventilators that were donated to TT by China.

A statement issued on Saturday by the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development, quoted Ag Medical Chief of Staff Dr Victor Wheeler as saying:

“The new ventilators were placed at the Covid19 Intensive Care Unit at the Scarborough General Hospital and will be used solely for covid19 positive patients who require ventilation.”

Wheeler, according to the statement, added: "The new ventilators will not be used on any other patient in the hospital.”

Wheeler was also said to be pleased the hospital’s stock of ventilators has now increased to eleven.
