22 samples sent to CARPHA, UWI in past 24 hours

TWENTY-TWO samples were sent for covid19 testing to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and the UWI over the last 24 hours.

The Ministry of Health’s daily 10am e-mailed update said that as of that time, 2,312 samples had been sent.

At the 4pm update, the figure increased by eight to 2,320 and then by 14 at the 10pm update to end at 2,334 samples.

There was no change in the number of covid19 infections, which stands at 116, and no change to the fatalities, which stand at eight.

According to the worldometer website, which daily monitors the rate of the spread of the virus globally, as of 10pm on Monday, there were 4,252,233 infections and 287,124 deaths, and 1,525,722 people had recovered from the virus.
