Teen dies by apparent suicide in Beetham

An autopsy is expected to be done on the body of a 13-year-old girl thought to have died by suicide at her Beetham Gardens home on Tuesday night.

Police said the girl was at home with her family and went to bed at around 7.30 pm.

An hour later relatives called out to her but she did not respond.

The girl's father broke down the door.

An ambulance was called and took the girl to the hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.
