Police are continuing investigations into the accident involving the driver of a pickup truck who had a seizure, then crashed into two women on Penitence Street, San Fernando on Monday.

San Fernando police said the two victims are still at San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH). One of the women suffered a broken leg. The other is still under observation.

Police did not divulge any information on the condition of the driver of the pickup truck except to say investigations were continuing up to press time on Tuesday.

The driver had a seizure near the Empire Cinema. He lost control of the pickup, which ran into the two women, knocking them into the road, before slamming into an iron railing..

When police arrived, the driver seemed unaware he had injured two people.

He was also taken to SFGH.
