Laventille teen shot in Morvant

Enquiries are continuing into a shooting incident in Morvant in which a 17-year-old Laventille boy was wounded.

Police said they received a call that a wounded boy was found in a yard in Wallace Street, Chinapoo, Morvant at around 2 am on Wednesday.

Morvant police  took the boy to the Port of Spain General Hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

Investigators said the boy is from St Barbs.

No arrests have been made in relation to the shooting.

Investigators from the Morvant CID are continuing enquiries.
