33 more samples sent to CARPHA

In the latest Covid19 update from the Ministry of Health, at 10pm, on Wednesday, 2,154 samples were sent for testing to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA). This figure represents an increase of 33 samples sent to CARPHA since the ministry's 4pm update. In total 74 samples were sent for testing, on Wednesday.

The number of confirmed cases remains at 116 with eight deaths. TT's last reported death as a result of the coronavirus was exactly a month ago on April 6.

Only one patient remains in the High Dependency Unit, at the Couva Hospital and Multi-training Facility. Four patients deemed low-risk are still at the Home of Football step-down facility. In total, 103 people have been discharged.
