112,000 vaccines administered during flu season

Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh said a of total 112,000 vaccines have been administered for the current flu season so far. He said there is no vaccination for the common flu or cold. TT vaccinates for influenza type A or B.

At the daily covid19 briefing hosted by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday, he said there are still about 20,000 vaccines available, but TT cannot vaccinate unless people consent to it. He said there is a problem globally where people buy in to anti-vaxers.

He said the second and third waves of covid19 don’t necessarily have to come from outside TT.
