Sole remaining covid19 patient moved to HDU in Couva

One covid19 positive patient is hospitalised in the High Dependency Unit (HDU) of the the Couva Hospital and Multi-training Facility.

This patient is the only one in hospital.

This comes from the 10 am Ministry of Health update on May 5.

Yesterday there were still three patients in hospital, but none was in the HDU or the ICU and all were said to be ambulatory (walking around).

The HDU is a ward for people who need more observation, treatment and nursing care than is possible in a general ward but slightly less than that given in an Intensive Care Unit.

The number of covid19cases remains at 116, with eight deaths. One hundred and two people were discharged. Five people are still staying in the Home of Football, Couva.
