Only a handful of covid19 patients still under care

There are only four recovering covid19 patients left at the Home of Football step-down facility in Couva. The Ministry of Health, in its daily 10 pm update on Tuesday, said one more person was discharged making it a total of 103 people being sent home after treatment.

Only one person is still receiving medical care at the Couva hospital. That person is in the High Dependency Unit.

The ministry said nine more samples were sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency since its 4 pm update bringing the total to 2080.

There have been no new infections, so the number of confirmed cases remain at 116. The number of patients who died of the virus remains at eight.

According to the global figures posted at 10 pm on Tuesday by the website Worldometer which tracks the latest coronavirus data there are 3, 726, 704 cases, with 258, 295 deaths. A total of 1 241, 924 people have recovered from the virus.
